Tozer’s
Landing- Dawn to dusk, but fishing permitted 24 hours.
1)
No overnight camping without
permission from the Parks and Recreation Commission and the
Athens Township Police
Chief. 24 hours notice is required.
2)
No one shall injure, deface, remove,
cut, or damage any trees, plants, shrubs, turf, buildings, structures, signs or
fixtures, or any other property located within the parks.
3)
Trash must be picked up and deposited
in dumpsters provided.
4)
No fires allowed except in fireplaces
or specially designated area determined by the Park Commission.
5)
No one shall remove any bench, seat,
table or other property without permission.
6)
No notices or placards shall be posted
in the park without permission of the Park Commission.
7)
Sale
of any article or service is prohibited, as well
as any type of solicitation, without permission or Park Commission or Board of
Supervisors.
8)
Vehicles or any type of conveyance are
not allowed to be operated, stopped or parked except within areas designated by
proper authority of the Park Commission, nor shall they be operated in a
reckless or negligent manner as to become a nuisance to other area users.
9)
No parking on the grass.
10)
No alcohol permitted in the park
between 11 PM and 6 AM. No illegal drugs allowed.
11)
No one shall enter the park in an
intoxicated state or otherwise be under the influence of alcohol or illegal
drugs at any time.
12)
No one shall carry or discharge any firearms,
slingshots, firecrackers, fireworks or other missile-propelling instruments or
explosives or arrows or other dangerous weapons which have properties as to
cause annoyance or injury to any person on the property, unless permission has
been granted by the Park Commission, or unless they should be hunting using guns
or bow and arrows during regularly scheduled PA hunting season and possess a
valid PA hunting license.

Pitching horseshoes allowed only in
designated areas. Launching, docking or landing of any boat is allowed only at
Tozer’s Landing. Hunting is not allowed in the picnic area at Round Top when
park is open. Hunting is not allowed at Tozer’s Landing.
14)
Swimming is not allowed at Round Top or Tozer’s
Landing.
15)
No outboard or inboard motor shall be allowed at
the boat landing that exceeds 20 M.P.H.
16)
No jet ski or similar type of boat shall be
launched from any boat landing.
17)
No disrobing or changing of clothing
except in buildings or facilities designated for that purpose.
18)
No disturbing the peace by any
conduct. No use of threatening, abusive, insulting, profane, or obscene language
or words. No committing disorderly or immoral acts
19)
Music should be kept to a level so
that it is not disturbing others that are using the park.
20)
Public meetings or rallies of more than 5
persons are not allowed without permission of the Park Commission or the Board
of Supervisors.
21)
No trapping of any wild animals is permitted in
Round Top
Park
. No trapping is allowed within 100 feet of the Tozer’s Landing boat launch
area.
22)
Pets must be on a leash or under verbal control. YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET.
23)
No feeding of the bears under any circumstances.
24)
Speed limit of 15 M.P.H. is enforced.
RESERVATION OF PAVILIONS: Pavilions
may be reserved through the
Athens Township
Office at (570) 888-2325 weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM. Reservations are good for the entire day
during park hours.
Pavilion rental fees are as follows:

Volleyball and net available for a $25 deposit (refunded upon return in good
condition)
Cancellations will be refunded up to 5 days prior to reservation date. Cancellations of 5 days or less prior to
reservation date are non-refundable.
If it is necessary for us to clean up or move tables back into their proper
places after a rental, a $30 per hour surcharge will be imposed and billed to
the renter.
Anyone who shall
violate any provisions listed here may be liable to pay a civil penalty of up to
$600.

Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Rules and Regulations
1)
Riders must obey all laws of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
2)
Each rider is required to have a permit
to ride on park property. Those riding on
Round Top Park Property without a permit will be subject to the following:
a.
First offense: $100 fine
b.
Second offense: $500 fine
c.
Third offense: Riding privileges revoked
3)
Riding allowed on designated trails
only
4)
No riding after sunset and prior to
sunrise
5)
Round
Top
Park
is closed to ALL OHVs during
the month of March and during bear and firearm deer seasons (the park is open
Sundays during hunting season). If trails
are extremely wet, the Park Commission asks that riding be curtailed until the
trails dry up.
6)
Permit must be worn so that it is
visible and second copy left on dash of transporting vehicle.
7)
OHV are not allowed in picnic and
playground areas – NO EXCEPTIONS
8)
Loading and unloading will be done ONLY
at the
Bobcat Rd.
gate parking area.
9)
Littering is prohibited. All trash and litter must be carried out.
10)
Noise level must not
exceed 96 decibels.
11)
Round
Top Road
and
Bobcat Road
are township roads and ARE NOT TRAILS.
Riding on these roads is prohibited.
12)
Those not obeying the
rules and regulations will be required to surrender his or her permit.
13)
Proof of registration is
required for each ATV
14)
Proof of liability
insurance is required for each ATV
15)
Only one permit is needed
per rider, but each vehicle used by that rider must be listed.
16)
Riders must follow all
Round
Top Park
rules and regulations.
