Athens Township has 4 beautiful parks available for community use. They are:

Tozer's Landing

Located on the Chemung River, Tozer's Landing has a concrete boat ramp, large parking lot, and a port-a-john. It also has two small pavilions which can be reserved. The park is located on the Wilawana Rd. about a quarter mile west of the Elmira St. intersection.

Glen Clark Memorial Playground

This park has playground equipment and picnic tables on a half acre. It is located on Herrick Ave between the Athens Township Municipal Building and Athens Township Fire Hall.

Jim King Memorial Community Park

This park has a ball field, basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, a walking path and a pavilion (which can be reserved). The park has handicap accessible restrooms. It is located on the corner of Kirby Street and Glen Valley Road in East Athens.

Round Top Park

This is the largest park in the Township consisting of 575 acres. The park has playground equipment, horseshoe pits, gaga ball, volleyball court, fishing pond, hunting, hiking trails, off road vehicle trail, sledding and cross country skiing (weather permitting) and model airplane field. Round Top Park also has several pavilions (that may be reserved for a fee), with grills, water and electric service. The park is a great place for family picnics, reunions and sightseeing. Round Top Park has one of the best overlooks in Pennsylvania.

Directions to the park: From U.S. 220 at Greens landing, turn west onto Wolcott Hollow Rd at the Dandy Mini Mart. After 0.5 miles turn right onto Round Top Rd and go about 1.0 mile to the stop sign. Turn right again and continue on Round Top Rd. to the Park. There are small blue signs pointing the way. Round Top Park opens the middle of May and closes the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It opens in the winter when there is enough snow to ski and sled.
